Hospitals are serious places. But we believe there should be space for a little bit of fun too. Starlight's programs have a positive impact on kids overall health and wellbeing.

Sick kids are still kids at heart

Starlight helps sick kids in hospital forget the reality of their illness and rediscover the joy of fun, play and laughter. Starlight helps brings the smiles back!

Starlight receives no government funding

We need your help so we're there wherever and whenever sick kids and their families need us. For every $1 we invest in our Starlight in-hospital programs, over $4.10 is returned in community value.

DARIA'S NEW ROOM

Daria is known for her love of pop music, joking around and laughter. She has also always dreamed of having her friends for a sleepover. So she was over the moon to have her Starlight Wish granted of a bedroom makeover. Her room is now a super cool haven away from hospital complete with pop-star posters and hot pink curtains.

DARIA LOVES UNO

According to Daria, it's not a hospital stay without Starlight. Whether playing a game with Captain Starlight, craft activities or hanging out with friends there's always something fun to do. She's also a fan of Livewire for teens – with events like One Direction dance parties. For Daria, Starlight brings a happy distraction from the reality of hospital life.

NOT JUST FOR KIDS -
FOR FAMILIES TOO

Daria is an awesome big sister. She loves spending time with her brothers and sisters Caleb, Zoe, Bailey, and twins Imogen & Jonte. But too often hospital can get in the way of everyday life. So Starlight helps Daria's family to enjoy some time together. The kids all play in the Starlight Express Room away from all the medical stuff to just focus on serious family fun.
